The Water Foundation

 

The Water Foundation is being created to support new and existing initiatives dealing with water issues at the local, national and international levels and to provide grants to practical water related projects particularly in the drier regions of the world.

The Foundation will also support water sovereignty on behalf of people and nature to maintain bio-diversity and cultural diversity.

 

Water of Life Festival – Bristol May 2013

 

The Festival is being organised to highlight the spiritual, social, scientific, environmental, artistic, mythological and physical aspects of water and its essential nature for the very existence of life.

To conserve and care for water, we have to understand it on every level that it touches us and its interconnectedness to all of us across the globe.

The greatest thinkers, philosophers, activists, artists, storytellers, musicians, academics, businesses, politicians, journalists, as well as people of all backgrounds will be invited to come together and inspire and highlight the urgent actions that are needed in this field. We will make every effort to understand how to use water with care and respect and do what is necessary to avert the natural disasters that are slowly but surely engulfing the world today.

 

Water of Life projects

 

These will be world wide projects with partners working with water issues at ground level where visible change is made possible for those bearing the brunt of water problems. These will be practical projects particularly in the drier regions of the world. The initiatives will be called ‘Water of Life Projects’.
